Dragon I
She has just won, yet she takes no joy in it. With her eyes closed, she leaves behind a battle of which I have painted only the smoke — that dark halo that refuses to settle. Her armour is made of dragon bones: red envelops her, the pale blades still protect her even though there is nothing left to fear. It was her strength that interested me, and the price it cost.
