Efflorescence
A flower opens, revealing its light at its centre. I have placed it on a halo of amber, as if it were the lamp itself rather than the object being illuminated. Its petals are lace-like patterns, drawn stroke by stroke: it takes a long time, and it is precisely that time that I enjoy. Beneath, the filaments cascade down with their pearls, and no one knows what they are seeking.
