Zolienne
These flowers fling their petals about like windmills: the slightest breath of air would be enough to set them spinning. The stems are turquoise, the petals red and blue, and all set against a sunny yellow that leaves no room for melancholy. I like to paint them tall and untidy, like a bouquet picked too hastily. Its title, Zolienne, is a nod to my daughter!
