Caverne II
A large, pale orange-red flower, round and plump like a cushion, cradles a smaller one against it. All around, seeds float in the twilight, suspended, waiting. I wanted to paint a refuge: that place where one curls up against something bigger than oneself, to feel a little less alone in the darkness of the cave.
