Caverne V
Deep within the rock, these flower-like cells huddle together for warmth: here, it is cohesion that sustains life, not light. There are four of them, from largest to smallest, and behind them one can just make out a fifth that has chosen not to reveal itself. The amber around them is not sunlight — it is the stone that retains the heat. I see a family in it, and I think that is what I was looking for.
