When spring arrives, nature awakens and bursts into vivid colours, as if to rouse the sleeper from hibernation. I placed three flower-cells on a patch of fresh green grass — one red, one coral, one yellow — and gave them filaments stretching out in every direction, because in spring nothing stays still. Their centres are grainy, almost like seeds. It is the season when my imaginary species begins to grow again.
