That very special moment when the rain has stopped: the landscape remains heavy with moisture and the light seeks a path through the clouds, now finally unburdened. I painted the hills in ink, stroke by stroke, until they resembled a head of hair flattened by the downpour. A few winged seeds take the opportunity to set off again — they are always the first to know that it is over. The sky remains mauve for a while longer, then it forgets.
